Green House Pilates
When Tammy came to me, she was ready to follow her passion of opening an in-home pilates studio: Green House Pilates. She had taught fitness classes for years, but fell in love with pilates and how accessible it was for people of all ages, body types and fitness levels. She had a logo and a concept, but still needed to establish the rest of her brand identity.
I talked with Tammy to learn more about how she wanted her brand to be perceived by potential clients. I also looked into her competitors to see where she could fit in the market. My goal is to always look at what others are doing, but do something completely different. At the end of the day, your brand needs to stand out – not look like the other guys.
It became clear that a primary part of the Green House Pilates brand is inclusivity; she wanted everyone to feel welcome in her studio. To carry this message through, I included warm, welcoming language throughout her website, and told her story. There is a good possibility that many of her new clients will be new to pilates, so I included a “Why Pilates” page on the website to explain its benefits. We also did a photo shoot at Tammy’s studio with one of her clients to make sure the site felt authentic – Tammy’s family dog, Bella even joined us! We wanted the photos to show the experience new clients will have when they walk in her doors: welcoming, friendly and laid back. I edited all the photos so they would feel light, airy and inviting. In order to carry Green House Pilates’ inclusive brand messaging through to the social media pages, I created graphics using some of Tammy’s favorite quotes.
